Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. What this is

Regrets is a public wall for posting short messages to the Ethereum blockchain. Each post is minted as an NFT and stored permanently on-chain. This service is operated by FrankNFT as a personal side project. It is not a commercial enterprise.

By using this site, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By posting, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Regrets to post short messages for any lawful purpose consistent with the spirit of the product.

You must not post:

  • illegal content — material that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • hate speech — content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • doxing — personal information about others without their consent (addresses, phone numbers, emails, financial details, credentials, or any non-public identifying information)
  • secrets and confidential information — passwords, API keys, trade secrets, internal communications, or any confidential data belonging to you or others
  • harassment and threats — credible threats of harm, targeted abuse, stalking, or intimidation of any person or group
  • impersonation — pretending to be another person, brand, or entity in a deceptive manner
  • incitement to violence — content that encourages, glorifies, or instructs others to commit violent acts
  • self-harm content — content that promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide
  • sexual exploitation — content that sexually exploits or depicts minors in any form
  • spam and commercial solicitation — unsolicited advertising, promotion of goods or services, repetitive content, or link-driven posts unrelated to the purpose of the wall

4. Permanence and on-chain storage

Every post you make is submitted as an Ethereum transaction. Once confirmed on-chain:

  • the content is part of the public blockchain record
  • it cannot be edited or deleted by you through this website
  • it remains accessible to anyone with access to Ethereum node data, block explorers, and archive nodes, regardless of whether it appears on this website

The contract owner may burn tokens that violate these terms. Burning removes the post from this website's feed but does not erase on-chain history.

5. Fees

Posting requires payment of a mint fee (currently 0.002 ETH, subject to change by the contract owner) plus Ethereum network gas fees. Fees are non-refundable. You are responsible for confirming the current fee before submitting.

6. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post and the security of your wallet. By submitting, you represent that:

  • you have the right to publish the content
  • the content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights
  • you understand the content is public and permanent
  • you are solely responsible for safeguarding your wallet, private keys, and any credentials used to interact with this service. We cannot recover access to your wallet, reverse transactions, or restore lost funds.

7. Content moderation

The contract owner may, at their discretion, burn (censor) individual tokens that appear to violate these terms. This is the only moderation action available — we cannot ban wallet addresses, delete accounts, or prevent anyone from posting new content. Burning removes the post from this website's feed but does not erase on-chain history.

This is not a guarantee that all violating content will be removed, nor that content will remain if the owner later deems it in violation. No appeal process is provided.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant anyone who reads the wall a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to view and reference your post, consistent with its public on-chain nature.

9. Reporting illegal content

If you believe content posted on this service violates the law or these terms (including copyright infringement, defamation, privacy violations, or illegal material), you may submit a report at /report. Reports should include the specific content, the legal basis for the complaint, and your contact information.

We will review reports and take appropriate action, which may include burning the reported token. For content involving the sexual exploitation of minors, we will report it to the relevant authorities (NCMEC / IWF).

10. Disclaimers

This service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We make no representations about availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Ethereum network conditions, gas costs, and contract behavior are outside our control.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this service, including:

  • loss of ETH, tokens, or other digital assets
  • exposure of information you choose to post
  • unavailability of the website
  • claims brought against you by third parties based on content you posted, including but not limited to defamation, privacy violations, intellectual property infringement, or any other cause of action arising from your posts

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to content you post on this service.

12. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or your use of this service shall be brought exclusively before the courts of Gent, Belgium.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these terms where the failure or delay results from any cause beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, blockchain network failures or forks, smart contract exploits, cyber attacks, government actions, or public health emergencies.

16. Contact

For questions, notices, or content reports, contact: legal@regrets.today.

You may also submit content reports through the /report page on this website (see section 9).
